The data portal shows you at any time what your household contributes. You sign in with the username and password you chose during setup, no account with a name or e-mail address is needed. Your data thus stays pseudonymized.
Viewing data
- Explore time series: your devices’ consumption and production by day, week, and month.
- Household overview: how many datapoints your household has donated in total.
- The big picture: the project’s overall statistics.
Labeling devices
The most valuable contribution after the donation itself: assign the matching device type to your time series (“fridge”, “EV charger”, “solar system” …). Labeled data is far more useful for research because it lets models learn to recognize appliances in measurement data.
Storage in your browser
For signed-in use, the portal stores a few technically necessary entries in your browser’s local storage: the session token, the identifiers of your account and household, and your language and appearance settings. No cookies are set. The account-related entries are deleted when you sign out. The full list is in the privacy policy.
Managing participation
In the portal you can also review your device selection, pause transmission, and trigger deletion of your data, in addition to the controls directly in Home Assistant.
